The Tinies program at the Dancer's EDGE prides itself on being the most rewarding and comprehensive young dancer experience in the area. Each Tinies class focuses on the basic fundamentals of dance wrapped in a fun and creative package to keep students engaged and entertained. Games and memory exercises are key ingredients in the class as well as props and age-appropriate music. In addition, students in Tinies 1 and up begin to learn a routine that will be performed in our annual Recital. This experience is the highlight of the year for many of our young dancers, as costumes and stage makeup are part of the fun!
Teeny Tinies
(Ages 18 Months - 2.5 Years)
Creative Movement in a Mommy (or Daddy!) And Me format
If you have a young dancer who's already movin' and shakin' but a little too young for our Tinies 1 class, Teeny Tinies is an excellent way to instill rhythm, creative movement, and comfort in a classroom environment! The 30-minute class is designed for students ages 18 months - 2.5 years and is a Mommy (or Daddy!) and Me format.
Price - $40/month
Attire - Teeny Tinies and parents are welcome to wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Some families choose to dress their student in a leotard for fun, but it is not required! Specific shoes are also not required - students can go barefoot or in a light pair of socks.
Registration - Teeny Tinies classes do not participate in Recital. For this reason, we accept registrations for Teeny Tinies at any point during the school year session.
Tinies 1
(Ages 3-4)
Ballet, Tap, Tumbling/Flexibility
Our youngest "dancing on your own" Tinies level at the Dancer's EDGE. This class is for 3 year olds (turning 4 throughout the school year). Students must turn 3 by November 1st in order to enroll in the class. A 45-minute per week class that uses play-based activities to develop rhythm, coordination, and a basic understanding of tap and ballet. Students do participate in a Recital routine (will be either Ballet or Tap - selected by the instructor).
Price - $45/month
Attire - Pink Ballet Shoes, Black Tap Shoes, and a Leotard. Hair should be secured away from face. A leotard is required, but any color/style is acceptable. Skirts are optional. Tights are encouraged to help with shoe changes and to prevent blisters. We ask that Ballet Shoes not have ties. Visit our Attire Page HERE.

Tinies 2
(Ages 4-5)
Ballet, Tap, Tumbling/Flexibility
Tinies 2 is for dancers who are 4 (turning 5 throughout the school year) and are in preschool or AK. Tinies 1 is not required beforehand to enroll in a Tinies 2 class (the Tinies 1 material will be reviewed at the start of the session). This 45-minute per week class continues to develop rhythm, coordination, and an understanding of the basics of ballet and tap. Additionally, it works to instill musicality, balance, and a memory for patterns and choreography. Students do participate in a Recital routine (will be either Ballet or Tap - selected by the instructor).

Tinies 3
(Ages 5-6)
Ballet, Tap, Tumbling/Flexibility, Pre-Jazz
Tinies 3 is for students who are 5 years old (turning 6 throughout the school year) and generally in Kindergarten. Tinies 2 is not required beforehand in order to enroll in Tinies 3 (previous material will be reviewed at the start of the session). This 45-minute per week class really starts to showcase how competent young dancers are by the age of 5. Increased speed, difficulty, and overall knowledge of ballet and tap steps keep the student challenged and progressing rapidly, meanwhile continuing to use play-based activities to teach basic acting/performing skills and continued creative movement development. The class also begins an introduction to jazz technique to help students transition effectively into Level 1 classes once they enter 1st Grade.
