The Company is a group of Dancer’s EDGE students who compete in various regional competitions throughout the Midwest.
They are students who love to dance and want a faster, more challenging track to becoming a better dancer. We strive to offer our Company dancers the very best in weekly instruction, master classes, top-notch choreography, and great competition experiences. Dancers learn teamwork, responsibility, and dedication, in addition to developing lasting friendships with other Company members.

Who is eligible to audition for the Company?
Current Company/ProCompany students and students currently in Entourage 1 or higher are eligible to audition for Company. Open/Recreational students need to complete at least one year in our Entourage Performing Team before they consider auditioning for the Company program.
Outside students are more than welcome to attend our auditions if they have reached an equivalent level at their respective studios. They can contact us at info@dancersedgeonline.com if they have further questions.
When are Company Auditions?
Company auditions are held each May for the following school year. No alternate audition timeframe will be offered to be fair to all students. If you are interested in auditioning, please email info@dancersedgeonline.com to request an Info Packet with more details.
What is the time commitment?
Company begins during our Summer session and runs through the full School Year, concluding with our annual Recital in June. Company members enroll in a class block for technique training in Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical. The length and frequency of that class block varies based on the student’s age/level. Students also have the option of adding on additional classes in Hip Hop, Tap, Acro, and/or Pointe.
Does my student have to take the Summer session in order to be in Company?
Yes, all Company members are required to register for and attend Summer classes to begin working on their technique. We start our competition routines toward the end of the Summer.
How many competitions does the Company attend each year?
The Company attends 3 regional competitions between February and May each year, as well as 1 convention weekend. These events generally take up most of the weekend, so plan on blocking out 4 weekends on your student’s calendar in order to participate in Company. Exact competition dates are decided each Fall after competitions release their schedules.
What is the cost to participate in Company?
